John Blackmore

Workshop date: November 5, 2017

John Blackmore is a Ross-certified Instructor. This workshop follows the approach popularized by the late Bob Ross who was well-known for his TV art series “The Joy of Painting” which aired on PBS between 1983 and 1994; many episodes are available today on YouTube.

The workshop relies on a step-by-step method using a limited palette of paints and brushes. Students will end the workshop with a completed 16 x 20 inch oil painting. No previous experience in painting is required. This innovative workshop opens the workshop experience to SPAC members whose primary interest may be in jewellery making, ceramics, textiles, mixed media, as well as to painters. The approach taken in this workshop enables even the least experienced artist to complete an oil painting. If you do not believe it, there is only one way to find out. Register in this workshop.

The instructor provides all materials. Students only need to come with clothing suitable for painting and will finish the workshop with a completed 16 x 20 inch oil painting.
