Artist Bio – Odette Turcotte

I am French Canadian and a self taught modern-contemporary, naive artist living in Victoria, BC.

Now retired, I’m enjoying world travel and creating art in my studio.

I’m drawn to explore and incorporate many different mediums. In my pieces you will find paste, collage, gold leaf, texture paper, jewelry, ink, acrylic paint and charcoal, to name a few. Encaustic is also a new medium I’m discovering and enjoying very much.

I find inspiration in the natural world around me and the curiosity expressed in people’s faces. My style is whimsical and imaginative with a vast use of colour and texture.
