The planning for SPAC’s February 2020 mini-workshops has begun, and we couldn’t be more excited! While student registration will start in early December, our first priority is to line up the instructors for the workshops.
If you are interested in sharing your knowledge and creativity for a half-day mini workshop then we want to hear from you! Please fill out the Mini-Workshop Instructor Application Form before November 15, 2019.
Information for Instructors
Please read the following as we are making some changes to the policies and processes this year.
We will be holding an instructor orientation on October 26, 2019 from 9am-11am at the McTavish Academy Of Art. This is open to all those wishing to offer, or curious about offering a workshop this year.
We will be asking for the list of materials that you will be providing, if any, as well as the list of materials that the students need to bring to the class themselves, if any. These lists will be available for viewing by the students as part of the course description.
We will also be collecting the materials fee at the time of registration. This fee will be paid to you at the same time as the class registration fee in March.
For those instructors not charging a materials fee, we would like to encourage you to keep the cost of additional material the students need to purchase to a reasonable amount to make these workshops accessible to more of our members. Students can be encouraged to purchase items as a group to keep cost down.
For instructors who are charging a materials fee, it is expected that this fee will include all the items needed to have a positive experience in the workshop, and any additional items that the student need to provide will be minimal.
