Watercolour Cityscape Workshop

Michael Solovyev’s masterclass is an immersive experience in watercolor techniques. Urban landscapes are among Michael favorite subjects — and in this immersive three-day workshop, you’ll explore how to bring emotion, atmosphere, and story into your cityscape paintings.

You’ll learn:- how to build a color palette that supports your creative vision- techniques to convey mood and light in urban scenes- how to construct spatial depth and highlight focal points- depicting different lighting conditions: sunny, cloudy, evening choosing meaningful details and leading the viewer’s eye the first

Two days will take place in the bright and inspiring studio of Mctavish Academy of Art.

On the third day, we’ll move outdoors for a plein air session in the picturesque streets and gardens of Victoria — a perfect opportunity to apply your new skills on location.
